Abstract

A case report published in Reactions Weekly in 2024 discusses a 45-year-old man who developed progressive cervical osteophytosis and dysphagia while undergoing treatment with isotretinoin for rosacea. The man had a history of various medical conditions and had been taking isotretinoin for approximately 13 years. After being diagnosed with progressive cervical osteophytosis and dysphagia, his isotretinoin therapy was discontinued, and he underwent surgery for dysphagia and excision of cervical osteophytosis. The case study highlights a potential association between long-term isotretinoin therapy and these adverse effects. [Extracted from the article]
