Abstract

The article presents some tips for ensuring safety while using ladders. One should be sure there are no powerlines overhead when an extension ladder is lifted. Extension ladder's feet should rest on a stable and level surface. The ladder should tilt at about a 75-degree angle, or 1 feet of setback for every 4 feet of height measured to the point where the ladder rests against the house.
