Impacto das práticas integrativas e complementares em pacientes submetidos a sessões de hemodiálise.

To verify whether the use of Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICS) can impact and favor the health of patients on hemodialysis. This is an integrative review study carried out between July and December 2020 based on national and international journals. The bases consulted were: 1. ScienceDirect; 2. Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS); 3. Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). The research involved the following combinations of keywords: (a) Integrative and complementary practices "and" hemodialysis; (b) nurses "and" hemodialysis. The use of PICS for patients on hemodialysis was effective as it improves the well-being and reduces discomfort typical to the procedure. Thus, it is essential to encourage changes in health services, through reflections on the work process, polishing concepts and habits, with the intention of transforming the look and culture submerged in health, adding to professional knowledge, knowledge related to PICS.
