Abstract

Ijen Geopark, which is in the Bondowoso area of East Java, is an ecosystem area that has unique biological sites, one of which is the Bondowoso Coffee Biosite, which contains three types of coffee, namely Arabica Coffee, Robusta Coffee, and both crossbreed coffee (Klunching Coffee). The purpose of this research is to explore indigenous fungi found in the roots of various coffee plants, located in the Ijen Geopark area, Bondowoso, East Java. The research used a purposive sampling method, namely taking soil samples right at the roots of the coffee plants (three types of coffee) and then identifying the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. The results of this research show that five species of fungi have been identified and are indigenous fungi found in the roots of coffee plants located in the Ijen Geopark Area, Bondowoso, East Java. There are five types of indigenous fungi, namely Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus fumigatus, Saccharomuces cereviceae, and Fusarium sp. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
