Abstract

The article "Prognostic Impact of Prior Percutaneous Coronary Interventions in Patients Undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting—A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis" explores the impact of prior percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). The study found that patients with prior PCI had higher rates of perioperative mortality compared to those who underwent CABG as the primary treatment for coronary artery disease (CAD). Secondary outcomes such as perioperative myocardial infarction, neurological events, bleeding, acute renal failure, and hospital length of stay did not show significant differences between the two groups.
