This paper is intended to show a new software "MECCA" to obtain synthetic traces from acoustic well logs, as well as some experiences in using these techniques in geological studies. Some results are shown, obtained by using the above mentioned soft ware with acoustic well log data from Rabihorcado well in Guacanayabo Gulf, in order to do the lithostratigraphic referencing of seismic reflections.
