Abstract
- Gd(OH)3 nanorods have been prepared via hydrothermal growth, and their microstructures are characterized by x-ray diffraction, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy. The diameters of the Gd(OH)3 nanorods are 1520 nm and the lengths are 150250 nm. The nanorods are single crystalline with clean surfaces, and they grow preferentially along the [001] direction.
