Abstract
- The article focuses on scriptural practices transmitted by mobile phones in Europe. In France, 9.8 billion text messages were sent in 2003. A constraint set which is specific to the mediator object implies that users must develop complex discursive strategies for capturing an efficient message. Users must make a distinction relevant to monosyllabic semio-phonological notations, bisyllabic semio-phonological notations and total semio-phonological notations.
