Abstract
- The author relates her experience staying at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess in Acapulco, Mexico, while working on a cable television movie, "Romancing the Bride." The Acapulco Princess is set on a beach. It is also where Howard Hughes spent the end of his life, suffering from undiagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder. Acapulco, the author notes, has little in the way of shopping save for a large Wal-Mart. Movie-stars have been vacationing here since the mid-1930s. She describes watching the Acapulco cliff divers while dining at La Perla at El Mirador Hotel.
