A UWB FILTER USING A DUAL-MODE RING RESONATOR WITH SPURIOUS PASSBAND SUPPRESSION.

The article presents a novel and compact microstrip bandpass filter with tapped input/output lines for ultra-wideband radio systems. The filter has fractional bandwidth of sixty percent, with low insertion loss and sharp rejection. Moreover, the filter can provide a wide passband and two sharp stop-bands, due to a dual-mode ring resonator structure and two-stepped impedance open stubs. The proposed microstrip bandpass filter has the advantage of high performance, providing wider and deeper stop-band characteristics.
