Abstract
- The article presents an anecdote about a mysterious package wrapped in paper and tinfoil and discovered by a merchant seaman walking through his ship's hold. The seaman thought the package contained a small time bomb so he reported it to the commanding officer of his ship. The object was X-rayed but the tests revealed no time mechanism within. The official analysis of the package at an Army arsenal was that the box contained a can of dehydrated corn-beef hash.
