Abstract: The article presents information on several news related to the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) in the U.S. states. The Executive Secretary of the ACM, Irene Hollister has been honored at the Council meeting in Anaheim on May 20 for her outstanding contribution. Then hotel manager Lou Fiora has been appointed as Coordinator to lay guidelines for ACM's conference and to give special assistance for Special Interest Group, regional, and major ACM conferences. The ACM has been publishing another New Periodical "ACM Transactions on Database Systems" to provide high quality research papers on the development and application of computer databases. The article announces the names of SIGs elected officers who contended in Special Interest Group on Design Automation ( SIGDA) elections. The article also announces the names of chairmen of ACM's Special Interest Groups selected by president Sammet. The ACM Council revoked the charters Tulsa Chapter, Greater New Orleans Chapter, and Tidewater Virginia Chapter in its meeting on May, 23.
