Abstract

The article relates the author's thoughts about the WiMAX technology in the U.S. According to the author, AT&T Corp. is testing WiMAX technology. The evidence to date is that WiMAX is complementary with 3G. Depending on the location and the specific requirements of the application, different technologies work. The critical success factors for WiMAX come down to customer adoption and practical operating readiness.
