Abstract
- This article presents the author's views on how teacher-librarians can create meaningful curricular collaborations with classroom teachers. During her first year as a high school English teacher, realized that her school's teacher-librarian, Sarah, fills three important roles in working with classroom teachers. As process facilitator, she asks questions that help the author think about all aspects of planning a given lesson and its effect on students. As resource-getter, she provides library resources, equipment, lesson materials, and training, and helps with lesson implementation and evaluation. And as a community builder, she builds a literary community among staff and students.
