Abstract

Abstract: The roots of the speech disorders (speech delays and dysphasia) have to be searched before the verbal lifetime. So, we have set up a research program named “PILE” (french acronyme for: International Program for the children''s speech) which is focused on the somatic and behavioral precursors of the verbal speech among the babies between 3 and 9 months, that is to say during the period of access to the intersubjectivity. Hands'' movements, gazes'' interactions and babies'' vocalizations are the main targets of this federative and collaborative research program. The rythmic articulation of the different sensorial flows is, probably, crucial for the intersubjectivity''s instauration, intersubjectivity which is absolutely necessary to the emergence of the verbal speech.
