Abstract
- The article reports on the situation in Sago, West Virginia, where 12 coal miners died after being trapped in a coal mine following an unexplained explosion on January 2, 2006. According to the author, many of the miners wrote notes to family members before their deaths. The one survivor of the incident, Randal McCloy, is in a coma and may have suffered brain damage from oxygen deprivation.
