Abstract

The article reports that the United States generated about 200,000 new jobs a month in the last part of 2005. According to the author, U.S. President George W. Bush has used the news to promote his economic record and agenda of tax cuts. Statistics recently released by the Labor Department are reviewed. Bush's recent comments regarding U.S. job growth and the state of the U.S. economy are reviewed.
