Abstract
- The article focuses on the first China Rich List compiled by Rupert Hoogenwerf. This was produced with the help of two university freshmen. It divulged to the public famous personalities renown for their wealth. Ranking lists serves as a marketing tool for product promotion. For every publish, Hoogenworf's ranking lists aroused several debates regarding the legitimacy of the data and disagreement with the assessment criteria.
