Abstract

The article presents a question and answer related to the rules and regulations of the minor league baseball in the U.S. The Indians argue that Bill Hunter, who made a home, should be sent back to the second base because it was only the handing out of the umpire that permitted him to score. However, the baserunner should not be penalized for the negligence of the umpire. No written rule governs the play and the Orioles would not make any protest of Hunter had been thrown at the plate.
