Abstract
- The article focuses on Celâl Bayar, the president of Turkey who succeeded the founder of modern Turkey Kemal Atatürk. After the death of Atatürk, Bayar founded the Democratic Party with the goal of opposing the Republican People's Party. He won in the 1950 elections and was awarded the highest office by the parliament. As compared to other state leaders, Bayar is said to portray urbanity who thinks things through before opening his mouth.
