Abstract
- The article announces the ratification of the 802.16e standard in the United States December 2005. Criticisms arise regarding the ratification stressing that the delays in the standards process could further delay the commercial deployment of the Mobile WiMAX technology. Predictions were also made regarding a series of vendor equipment plugfests regarding the standard ratification.
