Abstract

The article provides techniques on how to teach motor skills to the mentally retarded students. It is important that a special education teacher must use similar tone of voice each time he speaks and apply the same gestures. These procedures will be his major clue to an educator's feeling toward him. The student must be rewarded while he is still performing a desirable action. A good teacher must be patient enough to teach simple to more difficult motor tasks, depending on the student's performance.
