The Starling Chronicles.

This article reflects on the rescue of a starling bird that had fallen out of its nest and landed on the ground three stories below by the author and her daughter, Jasmine. They nursed the wild bird, christened Raven Starling by Jasmine, to health with dog food and then later cat food mixed with natural apple sauce, grounds antacids for calcium and mashed hard-boiled egg yolks for protein. The bird was later adopted by a woman in upstate New York who cared for starlings.
