Abstract
- The article presents portraits of 26 film actors of 2005 photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The spirit of competition seems to overshadow artistic achievement during academy awards season. Portraits presented are from a variety of movies, regardless of if they gained Oscar nominations. Penélope Cruz, Reese Witherspoon Jeff Daniels, Birol Ünel are pictured, among others.
