Dollars and Sense: Teaching and Studying Collection Development in the Third Millennium.

The article discusses the library education and collection development in the third millennium. As the newest generation of readers mature, they tend to resort into 24/7 online information resources rather than go to libraries. Anecdotal evidence indicates most college students and younger people who grew up in computer age turn first to digital data to seek information and tend to give up when their computers can't produce exactly what they need, becoming too dependent to technology.
