Scoring in Genetically Modified Organism Proficiency Tests Based on Log-Transformed Results.

The article focuses on the statistical analysis of laboratories engaged in the study of genetically modified organisms in Great Britain. One of the principal methods of checking laboratories is the proficiency test. Using the proficiency test method, the interpretation of data is based on the distributed test materials to participating laboratories. The laboratories analyze the test material blindly and report the result to the provider who later assesses them by usually calculating a z-score.
