Papers in this week's Veterinary Record.

The article presents several articles published in the February 2006 issue of the journal "The Veterinary Record." One article focuses on the stimulation of the immune system by certain vaccines shown to increase the severity of lesions associated with porcine circovirus type 2 in pig models. Another article is about methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus that is of great concern in human hospitals. The other article tackles hyperlipemia, an increase in serum triglycerides to more than 5-6 mmol/1 that develops when the liver produces triglycerides faster than they can cleared from the plasma.
