EVOLVING STRATEGIES FOR SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF CARCINOMATOSIS.

The article shares the perspectives of the author on the study regarding the applicability of cytoreductive surgery and perioperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy for the management of patients who have a peritoneal surface malignancy. The manuscript focuses on an evolution of treatment strategies used over an 8-year time period. For him, the researchers made the important observation that most of the patients who succumb to cancer after these treatments die as a result of continued carcinomatosis.
