Abstract
- The article states that General Motors Corp. (GM) has made deals with software vendors Reynolds and Reynolds Co. and Quorum Information Technologies Inc. to develop enhanced dealer-management systems designed to reduce back-office work for its U.S. and Canadian sales force. Nick Bell, GM's process-information officer for sales, service and marketing, said that the more time dealers can spend with customers, the more they can sell. GM is working with the two vendors to make business data stored in legacy computers available through the systems' Web interfaces.
