Boeing Co.'s Alteon Training subsidiary estimates 23,500 new pilots will be needed in the Asia-Pacific region over the next 20 years. To meet those demands in China, Alteon and Jeppesen, another Boeing subsidiary, are working with the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Civil Aviation University of China and Singapore training specialist Mil-Com Aerospace Pte. Ltd. to establish a technical training center in the port city of Tianjin near Beijing.
