NMR STRUCTURES OF LARGER PROTEINS.

The article presents a research from the Tokyo Metropolitan University which shows that stereo-array isotope labeling (SAIL) can be used in determining the structure of a 41-kDa protein. Researchers are trying to fully automate SAIL-based structure determination and to push the technique's molecular weights. It is anticipated that SAIL is going to have impact on structural protein nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry studies.
