Abstract
- The article reports that Scott Stringer, Manhattan Borough President, announced his plan to improve confidence and participation in the borough's community boards. A major facet of Stringer's campaign promised reform is the formation of the Community Board Reform Committee, an independent panel comprising members from various civic groups. Led by Deputy Borough President Rosemond Pierre-Louis, the committee has been charged with the task of reforming everything from the paper application to the interview process for becoming a member of one of the borough's 12 community boards.
