The article reports on the possible return of the comet 73P/Schwassman-Wachmann in 2006. The return is favorable with perihelion on June 6, preceded by a very close approach to the Earth on May 12. Comet observers suggest that this close passage between Earth and the surviving fragments of the comet in May might be accompanied by enhanced activity from the associated Tau Herculid meteor shower.
