Abstract
- The article analyzes the pathogenesis, natural history, diagnosis, and therapeutics of chronic cough due to nonasthmatic eosinophilic bronchitis. One of the common cause of chronic cough is nonasthmatic eosinophilic bronchitis. The condition is manifested as a corticosteroid-responsive chronic cough in nonsmokers without airway function abnormalities that characterize asthma. A further characterization of the condition has been made possible by the development of safe and noninvasive processes of examining airway inflammation using induced sputum.
