Abstract: The article reports that parents and states are increasingly skeptical of the U.S. government's abstinence only sex-ed programs. Federal funding goes to sex-ed programs that stress the failures of contraception and encourage waiting until marriage for sex. Some state legislatures are considering bills that would mandate more information on safe sex in the classroom.
