Abstract

The article focuses on a issue pertaining to the impeachment of the United States President George W. Bush. As per the reports released by the business wire service Bloomberg.com, nearly 26 percent of the Democrats polled in favor of the impeachment, while 94 percent of the Republicans opposed the idea. According to the Congressman Charles Rangel, any Democrat standing up and saying, they are for impeachment of the president, is at this moment seeking publicity. Impeachment is really no more than an investigation, that is, it is finding out whether there is sufficient evidence to warrant indicting a president or not. Once a conclusion is reached upon that a president should be impeached, which is only an accusation, the papers are sent to the Senate.
