Abstract

The article examines the synthesis and characteristics of cell-permeable and biocompatible polymeric nanoparticles for apoptosis imaging. The study shows that this polymeric nanoparticle was efficiently and specifically cleaved by both caspase-3 and caspase 7 in cell-free condition and cell culture system. The nanoparticle can be used to measure apoptosis in cell-based high-throughput screens.
