Abstract

The article presents an update on agriculture in New Zealand. The price paid for rural land doubled. Grass seed and white clover contracts are planned to be cut by almost 60 percent to help clear the huge backlog of stocks. Dairy firm Fonterra is planning to increase milk production by 3 percent in 2006.
