Abstract
- The article assesses whether the city of New Orleans, Louisiana is ready for the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference to be held in the city on June 22-28, 2006. It describes the damaged sustained by the Sheraton Hotel. It reveals what the residents of New Orleans think about the decision of ALA to held its conference in the city despite the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.
