Abstract

This article focuses on the interactive narrative, a special issue of IEEE Computer Graphics and application. Interactive narrative is an area of research known to bring together technical fields such as artificial intelligence and computer graphics as well as the humanities. The central challenge of interactive narrative is how to deal with the conflict between story and interactivity. Modern computer games have explored a number of solutions to the story and interactivity conflict. To date, there are three approaches presented to resolve the conflict between story and interactivity.
