Abstract

This article investigates previous research that used game-tree search to optimize drama-manager actions in interactive stories. A drama manager is a system that watches the story as it progresses. Declarative optimization-based drama management is known to guide the player by projecting possible future stories and reconfiguring the story world based on projections. The drama manager has also a set of actions that would guide the player character toward the story. In fact, the actions of the drama manager are known to take place in an abstract model.
