Abstract

The article reports on the program called Loss Management Information System (LoMIS), a computerized loss incident software program, which was created for SAFE 412, Hazard Prevention Management. LoMIS is designed to provide the students determine to establish management decisions and offer recommendations based on costs to implement their decisions. The types of costs used by the program including directly measured costs, workers' compensation, and product damage as well as the types of decision made by the students in their laboratory exercises were presented.
