- Examines the origin of medical malpractice non-economic damages caps and its impact on minorities and women in the U.S. in 2006. Efforts of the Congress to address concerns surrounding medical malpractice litigation, insurance rates and the retention of physicians; Damage-related provisions that were included in previous medical malpractice tort reform bills; Significant amendments to Assembly Bill 1xx.
