Advocates Carry Library Message to the Hill.

The article reports on the National Library Legislative Day (NLLD) in Washington D.C. held on May 2, 2006. Library advocates representing 47 states attended the event. Illinois topped the attendance list with over 60 delegates. American Library Association President Michael Gorman talked about the responsibility of all the delegates. Gorman also met with staffers of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, which handles appropriations for the Smithsonian Institution.
