Abstract
- The article reports on the efforts of some Republican members of the U.S. Congress to expand the Children's Internet Protection Act in response to the spate of online predators contacting children through sites like MySpace. The Deleting Online Predators Act would require schools and libraries to also block instant messaging, online e-mail, wikis and blogs. The American Library Association opposes this motion.
