Eolian origin of the Miocene bess-soil sequence at Qin'an, China: Evidence of quartz morphology and quartz grain-size.

The article reports on the morphology and grain-size of quartz from the QA-I sequence in the western Loess Plateau, Qin'an, China. The quartz is also compared from eolian deposits from the site at Xifeng. Eolian dust deposits are dominated by quartz. The quartz deposits gathered at the site have different characteristics from those of the typical quartz.
