Abstract
- The article reports on the doubling in speed of the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Express by Intel Corp. which is from 2.5 Gigabits per second to 5 Gigabits per second called version 2.0 that will be launched by the end of 2006. Ramin Netashi, technical program manager of Intel and the designer of the new PCI, noted that the design has a tight budget. Features of the new PCI include an access control on pocket routing and protection from hackers.
