Abstract: The article focuses on the discussion paper regarding the use and application of mathematics in Great Britain. The nature of mathematics is to provide a cleared and uniform world which involves problem solving moving between the real and mathematical world. The challenge of getting through the curriculum is part of the problem and some teachers have searched easier to stay within the mathematical world of straight calculations rather than staying into plain complexities of problem solving.
