Research and Education of the Handicapped.

The article presents a discussion on the education of handicapped children and the research conducted in support of the program. It also discusses the special legislation that supports the education of handicapped children such as the Research and Demonstration in the Education of the Handicapped which resulted in a systematic federal attention in support of the potential of research and related activities in meeting the educational needs of handicapped children. The specific issues to be taken into consideration in the future regarding these educational needs are also presented.
