Abstract
- The article focuses on on-screen replicas or digital duplicates of ink-on-paper editions as options for electronic circulation of newspapers. The Audit Bureau of Circulations approved electronic editions as paid circulations if U.S. publishers charge at least 25 percent of the single-copy or home-delivery price. Some suppliers of electronic-replications solutions include Olive Software, NewsStand and NewspaperDirect. Digitecs introduced typeWares software that creates on-screen editions for 40 U.S. newspapers, some books and newsletters.
